Greetings Animation Fans,

Thank you all for coming out to Gather Atlanta last Saturday. Congratulations to our new member Alex Larocci for winning our Adobe Prize Pack raffle! It was a great pleasure to meet so many of you members. Through that networking event, we were able to procure many new portfolio advancement opportunities for all of you (I can barely contain my excitement). Great things lie ahead of us, and I'm glad that so many of you are seizing these opportunities!

Your success is our success,

" The Pixar Story is a movie that shows the evolution of animation throughout Pixar's work, from the use of traditional, hand drawn animation, to computer generated images in animated films.  This movie has inspired me to join ASIFA so that I can learn animation to touch the lives of others the same way Pixar has."

Living Walls, The City Speaks
Various Locations, Aug. 12-14/ Various Times, Free
The idea behind Living Walls is to put the work of a very small subset of the population (street artists, graffiti writers, etc), people who actually interact with space, and people who spend their time in discourse about public space all under the same roof. Our intentions are simply to broadcast to the attendees a wide spectrum of ideas about public space, hoping that everyone leaves the event looking at the city, its walls, and how we interact with space differently.

Founded in 2009 by Monica Campana and Blacki Li Rudi Migliozzi.

Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialist

Savannah, GA
Freelance Animator
Deadline: Aug. 12, 2011
Animator needed for 10 seconds of flash animation. The animation will be used at the start and end of a commercial for a local podiatry practice. We've created a noir style detective named Mac Hammertoe to educate kids on foot problems and act as an overall mascot for our practice. Stylistically, we would like to aim for something like Erin Esurance or similar. We will need to see a quick version of Mac based upon the guy in the pictures here. Mac is a medium to skinny build, white collar shirt, skinny tie, suspenders, slacks, with a fedora style hat of course. Sticking with the noir style the animation would feature a lot of shadows (something like Batman: The Animated Series ) We are not able to pay much.

Send a character sketch of Mac Hammertoe, along with your resume and reel to Brendan Townend at
