PMRA is holding its AGM on Tuesday 22nd January 2013 at 6.00pm for 6.30pm at E2C, Old Coast Plaza, Halls Head (junction of Mary Street and Old Coast Road) in order to consider the 13 Special Resolutions below to alter the Rules of the Association.

Please come along at 6pm for drinks & nibbles before the meeting. We need a good turn-out to vote in the new changes. Also, we will provide you with the latest news about the Old Bridge replacement.

  1. To amend the following Definition: “Entitled Member” means every Port Mandurah Specified Area Rate (SAR) Payer registered with the City of Mandurah. An Entitled Member is eligible to vote and serve on the Management Committee.
  2. To amend the following Definition: “Affiliate Member” means a person, couple, group, entity or corporation residing outside the precinct of Port Mandurah with comparable interests, or tenant of an owner, whose application to join the Association has been approved by the committee by paying an annual membership fee as determined by the committee. An Affiliate Member is eligible to vote and serve on the Management Committee, at the discretion of the committee.
  3. To amend the following Definition: “Associate Member” means any other family member usually resident at an Entitled or Affiliate Member’s property. An Associate Member is not eligible to vote and is not eligible to serve on the Management Committee other than as a non-voting Co-opted Member, however they enjoy all other member privileges.
  4. To introduce a new Definition: “Patron” or “Vice Patron” means someone who may be elected from time to time at a General Meeting.
  5. To delete Definitions 21, 22, 23, 24, 27 and 34.
  6. To change the beginning of the primary Object from “represent the membership of the Association” to “represent the Ratepayers to oversee the expenditure of the Specified Area Rate”.
  7. To replace the existing annual membership fee structure by automatically providing membership to all Port Mandurah Specified Area Rate Payers within the City of Mandurah’s SAR Budget.
  8. To allow Patrons & Immediate Past Presidents to be appointed to the Management Committee at a General Meeting.
  9. To allow nominations to the Management Committee to take place right up to a General Meeting Election.
  10. To reduce the notice of General Meetings from 21 days to 14 days.
  11. To add “City of Mandurah” to the list of possible recipients of Surplus Property upon Winding Up of the Association.
  12. To introduce a Mediation and Disputes Policy, as detailed in the Proposed Revised Constitution.
  13. To introduce a Data Protection and Privacy Code, as detailed in the Proposed Revised Constitution.
